Higher Education Funding

The cost of a college education continues to climb with growing questions and concerns about affordability issues.

For both Penn State and Pitt they are known as State related Universities but if state funding went away, they would be a private school

That would mean increase recruitment of out of state students who pay higher tuition.

For many colleges student enrollment numbers are impacted due to the pandemic and the economy.

College recruitment could be more competitive.

Penn State’s state appropriation about 339 million dollars has remained the same for the past three years

The average college student in Pennsylvania leaves college with 35 thousand dollars in debt.
