Health Response Program to Expire

State Health Officials spoke Wednesday on the Wolf Administration’s Collaborative Health Response Program, which is designed to bolster the State‚Äôs support for long-term care facilities. The Program is set to expire on December 1st. According to Health Officials, it has been beneficial to the more than 127,000 people living in long term care facilities. They say the Program provides clinical support, technical assistance, and education to help prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Department of Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller says the Program has made a difference. Since July, the Program has participated in 2,000 missions. UPMC and AHN have helped with 83 rapid response deployments across the region, which includes Cambria and Somerset Counties.
