Grampian Man Sentenced

A Grampian man was sentenced to prison Tuesday for killing his girlfriend in a fatal DUI-related crash in 2019, according to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers.

Sayers says now 48-year-old Eric McCall was sentenced to three and a half to 13 years in state prison for the death of 41-year-old Christina Metzker in April of 2019.

Authorities say McCall plead guilty to charges of vehicular homicide in late April, but attempted to withdraw his plea on Tuesday.

Sayers says that motion of withdrawal was denied.

Police say, on the night of the incident, McCall crashed his car along Old Erie Pike, resulting in Metzker being ejected from the vehicle.
