In Johnstown this evening was the 14 annual Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out Event held at the Masonic Temple.
It all started as a project by Taunia who died of breast cancer in 2009.
The 39 year old’s goal was for every woman to know about breast cancer and understand the value of early detection and proper treatment.
Tonight officials say 750 women attended the event. Which included silent, live and pink auctions.
“I know that woman have neglected their health over covid right and the pandemic. And my ask is that if you not had your mamogram this year that you get it scheduled.
Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center would love to hear your call.”
Girls Night Out has raised over $1 million dollars for the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center.
