Fire Strikes Blair House Again

Fire has once again struck a Huntingdon County building. Last year, it was the sight of one of the worst fires this Region has ever seen. On Saturday, we were able to confirm that a State Police Fire Marshal will be handling this Investigation.

Crews were dispatched to 600 Penn Street in Huntingdon around 6:30pm Friday evening. The building, known as Blair House, has been abandoned for about a year since a previous fire ripped through this same building. That fire left more than 100 people without a home. We’re told that the building has never had its electrical wiring replaced since that first blaze.

The cause is under investigation and we’ll provide updates to the situation as we get them.
