Fawn Mountain Remembrance

On Saturday, friends and family of Fawn Marie Mountain came together at Jefferson Park in Altoona for a block party in her honor.

Fawn disappeared without a trace in November of 2012, and her family says the location of the park holds special significance to her.

Organizers say the event will be a “low-key, family-friendly” event with no live bands.

It’s open to the public, and they will have t-shirts and sweatshirts available for purchase.

The money raised from the sale of the clothing goes towards covering the costs associated with billboards featuring Fawn and the printing of the “missing person” flyers.

Those flyers will be available at the event for people to take and post in their neighborhoods.

“We really wanted the atmosphere to be friendly and fun, and just for everybody to get together and, I don’t want to say celebrate, but, gather in Fawn’s name so that she’s not forgotten and we can continue to fight and we can keep her case out in front. We don’t want this to be out of people’s minds. We want everybody to be on the lookout, if they know anything to step forward.”

Anyone who may have information, even what seems like the smallest detail, is asked to call Pennsylvania state police in Hollidaysburg and ask to speak with Trooper Martini.

The number to call is 814-691-6100.
