Thursday, a man died after falling from a construction building in State College.
A construction worker at the former Days Inn on Pugh Street tragically fell five floors to his death Thursday Afternoon.
According to a release from State College Police, the man fell from an open window around 4:30 Thursday Afternoon and that preliminary investigation points to his death being accidental.
Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers confirmed the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses to the incident say they saw construction workers running immediately towards the area where the man fell and unsuccessfully attempted to perform CPR.
The man’s identity has not yet been released, as authorities are notifying next of kin.
