Pennsylvania State Police is investigating a fatal shooting in Huntingdon county.
According to a public information release report, troopers responded to a home along Campbell Circle in Clay Township around 7:35 pm Sunday.
The report says two people, who were known to one-another, got into an altercation, and during the altercation the victim “sustained injuries from a firearm and ultimately succumbed to the injuries.”
State police identified the victim as 40-year-old Timothy Skipper of Three Springs, PA.
Trooper Christopher Fox was able to confirm a person of interest was taken into custody and was eventually released.
In the release report, PSP officials added that there is no threat to the public and that the investigation is ongoing.
