Authorities in Cambria County responded to a fatal motorcycle crash in Allegheny Township late Sunday night.
The crash happened around 11:15 p.m. along Columbia Street, just outside of Loretto.
Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees says two people were riding a motorcycle northbound on Columbia Street when they crossed over the double yellow lines while rounding a curve.
Lees says they traveled through a patch of long grass and down the roadway another 50 yards before being thrown off the motorcycle.
Lees says 21-year-old Sierra Farabaugh was crushed under the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He says she died of asphyxiation due to the weight of the motorcycle on her body. Her death was ruled accidental.
Authorities say the man riding with Farabaugh was taken to UPMC Altoona. His condition is unknown.
Lees says neither of the victims were wearing helmets.
PA State Police, Loretto Fire Department and Cresson EMS responded to the scene.
