According to the Altoona Police Department, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed late Monday night.
Police said they received a call for a weapons incident at the 100 block of S Lloyd Street, just after 11.
Sgt. Matthew Plummer told us after arriving to the scene, police found the victim dead in a nearby alleyway. Plummer said he had two gunshot wounds, one in the neck and one in the head
Sgt. Plummer said a witness identified the suspect. According to police, the suspect was found over an hour later at Bellemeade Drive in Logan Township.
Sgt. Plummer said the suspect is a 34-year-old male and was taken into custody without incident. His identity has not been released yet.
