The Philadelphia Eagles opened their Season on Sunday, and were looking good early on against the Washington Football Team. We’ll take you down to Landover, Maryland. Eagles already up 10 in the Second when Carson Wentz lofts a beautiful arching throw to Dallas Oedert who trots in for a 34 yard score. Eagles are up by 17, but they wouldn’t score again.
Washington would make a comeback aided by two Carson Wentz interceptions that lead to scores. One picked off by Jimmy Moreland and returned deep into Philly territory. Washington tied the game on a Field Goal and then take the lead on a three yard Touchdown run from Peyton Barber. Desperation time for the birds now down ten. Washington’s Defensive Line battered Carson Wentz all day sacking him 8 times. Kerrigan recovers the Wentz fumble to ice the game.
Washington wins by a score of 27-17. The Eagles have their Home Opener against the LA Rams next Sunday.
