Penn State transportation services recently partnered with the Borough of State College to bring Spin E-Bikes to Penn State.
Spin’s electric assist bikes will become available starting Monday, August 16th.
There will be 75 bikes available but a plan is being hashed out to gradually increase to 300 E-Bikes by October.
E-Bike deployment and parking locations will be on the University Park campus and the surrounding State College Borough.
Spin E-Bikes will have a maximum electric assist speed of 15 miles per hour and will be available 24 hours a day.
Standard rates for renting a Spin E-Bike will be 1 dollar to unlock a bike and 25 cents per minute to ride.
