A DuBois man accused of inappropriately touching a young girl was sentenced to serve 9 to 18 months in county jail on Monday, according to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers.
Sayers says Cletus Ripple, now age 56, pleaded guilty to one felony count of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age.
Ripple was charged in May of last year after the victim reported to a “safe touch” program that he had allegedly touched her on three separate occasions.
Authorities say Ripple allegedly admitted to the assaults at the time of his police interview.
Sayers adds that Ripple was also sentenced to served four consecutive years of probation, following the jail time.
“The commonwealth is disappointed that he (Ripple) was not sentenced to state prison,”
