Dubois Homicide Investigation

We have breaking news out of Clearfield County.

The District Attorney tells us there was a shooting this Afternoon in Dubois which is now a homicide investigation.

Police say a man was shot and killed along South Franklin Street near West Long Avenue, near the old train station this Afternoon.

District Attorney Ryan Sayers says a suspect was arrested near the Sykesville area.

Multiple police agencies responded to the scene, including state police and other county police departments.

“We gathered a bunch of info pretty quickly. We were able to catch the suspect. He’s in custody right now. Interview is being processed; scene is being processed. As of right now, we don’t have a clear motive.”

The Clearfield County coroner has released the name of the was man shot and killed Thursday afternoon in DuBois.

The victim was identified as 46-year-old Jude Srock, of DuBois.

DuBois Police Chief Blaine Clark says the victim and shooter, who is now in custody, were familiar to each other.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
