Dubois Fire

We’re following developing news out of Clearfield County

Firefighters were injured battling a fire that heavily damaged three homes in Dubois and brought a large response to fight it.

Officials at the scene tell me all three houses will likely be deemed total losses.

There were more than a hundred firefighters called to the scene of this second alarm fire along the 100 block of Wilson Avenue in Dubois.

Initial calls for a working structure fire came in around 6:30, with nearly a dozen trucks making their way to the scene.

Fortunately, nobody lost their life here, but Sandy Township Fire Chief Rob Burgeson says there were some injuries…

“We did have two firefighters get treated, transported and treated at Penn-Highlands DuBois, and one firefighter got treated on scene…We did pull two cats from the one structure, other than that, there’s no other injuries. Everybody did a good job.”

No word on the severity of those injuries. He says the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
