The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 1,276 Coronavirus cases in the state Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 175,922 throughout all 67 counties.
State health officials reported 27 more Coronavirus-related deaths over the past two days, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,411.
Eighty percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.
There have been 7,078 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 71 total deaths.
Sixty-two new cases were reported in our viewing area Wednesday and Centre County reported a 14th death.
Centre County reported 19 more cases, while Blair and Bedford counties reported 10 new cases each.
Meanwhile, Cambria County reported eight more cases and Clearfield and Huntingdon counties each reported five.
Elk County reported four new cases and Somerset County reported one new case.
According to the Department of Health, 2,074,729 patients have tested negative for the virus.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between October 7 and October 13 is 239,891 with 9,403 positive cases. There were 29,347 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., October 13.
