DOH COVID-19 Update

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported a total of 5,529 new coronavirus cases in the state Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 357,196 throughout all 67 counties since the beginning of the pandemic.

Sixty-one percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.

State health officials also reported 76 more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 10,351.

There have been 22,650 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 290 deaths.

Five-hundred sixty-four new cases were reported in our viewing area, as well as eight additional deaths.

Blair reported an increase of 153 new cases, Cambria reported 137, Bedford reported 68, Centre reported 61, Clearfield reported 51, Somerset reported 45, Jefferson reported 26, Huntingdon reported 18 and Elk reported 5 new cases.

Cambria and Somerset each reported two more deaths while Bedford, Blair, Clearfield and Huntingdon each reported one.

According to the Department of Health, 2,818,877 patients have tested negative for the virus.
