DOH COVID-19 Update

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed a two-day total of 6,311 coronavirus cases in the state Monday, bringing the statewide total to 234,296 throughout all 67 counties.

2,909 of the cases were reported on Sunday, and 3,402 on Monday.

Seventy-three percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.

State health officials reported 9 more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 9,024.

There have been 11,921 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 124 total deaths.

Four-hundred and eighty-two new cases were reported in our viewing area Monday.

Blair reported an increase of 137 new cases, Cambria reported 98 new cases, Centre reported 74, Huntingdon reported 17, Bedford reported 57, Somerset reported 38, Elk reported 11, Clearfield reported 28 and Jefferson reported 22.

According to the Department of Health, 2,455,856 patients have tested negative for the virus.

The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between November 2 and November 8 is 329,072 with 20,958 positive cases. There were 40,108 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., November 7 and 38,284 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., November 8.
