The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 2,641 coronavirus cases in the state Friday, bringing the statewide total to 205,517 throughout all 67 counties.
Seventy-six percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.
State health officials reported 22 more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,784.
There have been 9,441 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 98 total deaths.
One-hundred eighty-two new cases were reported in our viewing area.
Cambria and Centre each reported 42 new cases, Blair reported 38, Somerset reported 15, Huntingdon reported 12, Bedford and Elk each reported 10, Clearfield reported 8 and Jefferson reported 5 additional cases.
Centre County also reported an additional death.
According to the Department of Health, 2,297,983 patients have tested negative for the virus.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between October 23 and October 29 is 249,105 with 14,516 positive cases. There were 39,851 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., October 29.
