The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 1,594 Coronavirus cases in the state Monday bringing the statewide total to 156,826 throughout all 67 counties.
State health officials reported four more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,107.
The health department no longer releases reports on Sunday, so Monday’s count is a two-day total.
Clearfield County reported the county’s sixth death.
Eighty-two percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.
There have been 5,203 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 60 total deaths.
Two hundred and nine cases were reported in our viewing area Monday.
Centre County reported an increase of 158 new cases, Blair County reported 22, Cambria County reported 12 while Bedford County reported 4 and Clearfield County reported 5.
Somerset County reported 4 new cases and Elk and Huntingdon counties reported two additional cases each.
