DOH COVID-19 Update

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 898 Coronavirus cases in the state Wednesday bringing the statewide total to 152,544 throughout all 67 counties.

Eighty-one percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered.

There have been 4,586 confirmed cases in our viewing area since the start of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health, and 54 total deaths.

Seventy-three new cases were reported in our viewing area: Centre reported 47, Blair reported 10, Somerset reported 5, Bedford and Cambria each reported 4, Clearfield reported 2 and Elk reported 1 additional case.

State health officials reported 39 more Coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 8,062.
