A little more than 400 coronavirus cases were reported today by the department of health.
The 7-day average is down to its lowest levels since June 20th of 2020.
17 More deaths were reported, leaving the death toll now sitting at: 27,474.
We also continue to see hospitalizations on a downward trend.
Here locally 26 of the cases reported today came from the viewing area.
Cambria County reported 9 new cases, Blair and Huntingdon with 4, Centre with 3, and Bedford with just 2.
Cameron with also 2, and Elk and Somerset with just one. Clearfield and Jefferson Counties reported no new cases.
In our viewing area, we only have one death being reported in Elk County Today.
The CDC says 56.7% of adults in Pennsylvania are fully vaccinated Governor Wolf had a goal to have 70% of adults vaccinated before June 28th which is also the firm cut off date for
ending the mask mandate for those unvaccinated.
Locally, Centre, Elk, Cameron, and Cambria Counties are above the state mark of 39.5% of the population fully vaccinated.
