The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 2,653 new coronavirus cases in the state Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 1,156,758 throughout all 67 counties since the beginning of the pandemic.
Health officials say 89 percent of the state’s total cases are considered to be recovered and 3,527,775 Pennsylvanians have been fully vaccinated.
All adults are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, the Pennsylvania Department of Health announced.
Two-hundred one new cases and one more death were reported in our viewing area.
Blair reported an increase of 70 new cases, Centre reported 37, Cambria reported 35, Somerset reported 28, Clearfield reported 15, Bedford reported 8, Huntingdon reported 6, and Elk and Jefferson each reported one new case. No new cases were reported in Cameron county.
Clearfield also reported one additional death.
According to the Department of Health, 4,407,968 patients have tested negative for the virus.
