We have the latest now on the shooting death of 22 year old Anthony Cobaugh

Were learning no arrests have been made so far in the case

Reporter Baylee Wojcik spoke with the family of the victim and District Attorney Greg Neugebauer and tells us what they’re saying tonight

“I have a lot of unanswered questions. Why he was taken and why the shooter is still walking the streets.”

The family of Anthony Cobaugh, who was killed in late January, wished to remain anonymous, but three weeks after his murder, they say they want answers.

Amid confusion, false reports, and multiple witnesses, Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer says this investigation is extremely complicated.

“We only get one opportunity to do it. We have to do it right. Sometimes that takes a little bit of patience and it takes a little bit of legal research and it takes some in depth interviews and certain other things.”

Neugebauer says that based on their research, investigators currently have a working theory as to what happened the night of the shooting. Meanwhile, Cobaugh’s family says they want the public to know the kind of person he was.

“He was very happy. He always had something nice to say about his Mother and his siblings he was always always like everybody knew that his Mother and his siblings was first he just he was a family person.”

While family members say they’re trying to work through this difficult time, Neugebauer is assuring them that investigators are working to gather as much information as possible in their fight for justice.

“Once we’re at a point where we can take that information and look at it from a 360 degree viewpoint and apply it to the law, that’s really when we’re able to either bring charges or make whatever determinations we have to make”
