7,132 new Coronavirus cases were reported by the Department of Health on Saturday. It is the highest one-day total since January 29th and pushes the Pandemic total to 1,012,299. While we know that some of these come from tests done several days ago, Saturday’s count brings the 7-day average to just under 4,000. It’s highest mark since February 4th.
33 more Coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Saturday. The State Death Toll now 24,986. 1,795 Patients are currently hospitalized with the Virus. 363 of those patients are in the ICU.
Here locally, 700 of the new cases come from the our viewing area. Cambria County led the way with 183 new cases, with Centre right behind with 181, Blair reported 113, while Huntingdon reported 66, Somerset reported 58, Clearfield reported 56, Bedford reported 16, Elk and Jefferson each reported 13 and Cameron reported one new case.
No new deaths were reported locally. The local death toll for the Pandemic remains 1,633.
