Did you know that Pennsylvania holds some of the tallest trees in the northeast? They tower anyone who visits Cook Forest in the Pennsylvania great outdoors region. They’re some of the tallest and largest eastern white pines within what is called the forest cathedral. According to the Pennsylvania department of natural resources, one white pine is the tallest in the northeast at 183 feet. Many of the pines reach at least 150 feet high.
