A former Somerset County elementary gym teacher was charged after he was caught masturbating at school, police say.
According to the Conemaugh Township Police Department, 33-year-old Jacob Feathers, of Johnstown, is facing charges related to indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.
Police say officers were contacted Dec. 3 by officials at Conemaugh Township Elementary School after Feathers was reportedly observed by staff with his genitals exposed.
During their investigation, police say they learned Feathers was seen in his office, which is in the gymnasium area of the school, masturbating.
According to officials, the area where his office is located is open to any students or staff that are in the school.
They say a faculty member, who was with a 9-year-old student, saw Feathers’ act.
Investigators say they’ve obtained surveillance footage of the area in question.
