Conemaugh Township High School Opens As Warming Center

In Somerset County, Conemaugh Township High School used it’s building as a warming shelter after some Conemaugh Township residents in Hollsopple were without power earlier Today.

A light meal was provided for anyone that used the high school as a shelter.

A few students used the shelter during the school’s flexible instruction day.

“Administration was here at the school as it is anyways.And of course, we have the school heated, and we just decided to open it up as we are a recognized emergency shelter here within the Conemaugh Township.”

The cafeteria was closed at 12:30 as power was restored in the area.
