According to Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers, Daniel Robert Peteuil is facing charges in relation to a 2019 traffic stop.
“This all started initially at a traffic stop in DuBois and following an attorney general’s investigation and grand jury was indicted on multiple trafficking charges for meth, marijuana and other drugs,” said Sayers.
In June of last year, Sayers said there was a second case filed via a grand jury where informants testified that Peteuil was a known drug dealer in Clearfield.
Sayers said Peteuil is currently facing a grand jury indictment for multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver among other charges.
“He was present at his jury selection but then sometime last week, probation became aware that he had cut his ankle bracelet in the Pittsburgh area,” he said.
Sayers said Peteuil was permitted to go to Pittsburgh for an appointment, but he hasn’t been seen since.
“As a general rule there’s some kind of documentation usually documentation is provided as to an appointment. It’s not uncommon for individuals to have doctor’s appointments, other therapy appointments,” said Sayers.
Sayers said the trial will go on without Peteuil whether he’s found or not.
“He’s looking at a significant amount of time in state prison for the types of drugs that he was trafficking,” he said.
Anyone with information on Peteuil’s whereabouts is asked to call the Clearfield County Sheriff’s office.
