Centre County Testing Center

As COVID-19 cases are spiking nationwide and in most of our region, in Centre County, it’s been bit of a different story.

When the county paid close to $250,000 to open a free COVID-19 testing center at the Nittany Mall last week, it was expected about 300 people a day would be tested.

So far, that’s not the case, not even close, as the daily testing average has been about 125 people.

Thursday, county officials said they’ll probably make a decision next week on how long the center will be open.
