According to a report from Centre County coroner Scott Sayers, the coroner’s office has reported 10 additional COVID-related deaths in the county within the past week, bringing the county-wide total to 58.
The report states that nine of the ten deaths occurred in a long-term care facility in the 16823 zip code area.
The tenth death was at a health care facility in the 16803 zip code, and was reported on Nov. 25.
The most recent of these deaths, the coroner’s office says, occurred on Friday, Nov. 27.
The ages of those who died range from 72 to 96 years old, and nine of the ten deaths were in elderly females.
As of Sunday’s dashboard update, the Department of Health is reporting 48 COVID-related deaths in Centre County.
