The Pennsylvania State Fire Marshal is blaming a malfunctioning cooler for a Somerset County bar fire that claimed the life of a Boswell man.
Investigators say they determined the flames started in within the bar area of Walat’s Bar in Jenner Township.
They say 66-year-old Martin Walat, the bar’s co-owner, was found deceased in the dining room area of the establishment.
Authorities say the cause and manner of Walat’s death are still pending autopsy results.
The fire was ruled accidental.
