A Group of Parents gathered outside of Cambria Heights Highs School this evening in support of optional mask wearing. The group of parents wrote on Facebook that they think mask-wearing should be a choice and up to individual families – not mandated.
The Governor says he’s leaving the choice up to individual Districts, while the CDC recommends universal masking in Schools. The School Board was going to be voting on the School’s ‘Health and Safety Plan’ on Tuesday.
In the meantime, this is what one of the parents, “Stacy McDonald” had to say as the group of parents gathered outside the School ahead of Tuesday’s meeting. “Parents have always made Health decisions for their Children, and we don’t think this is any different. And so, we are here to support that choice Tonight.”
