The Johnstown Man accused of killing his own Brother with a crossbow last Summer has pleaded guilty and will spend up to 12 years behind bars.
That’s according to Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer who says Phillip Bermudez pleaded guilty Yesterday to charges headlined by third degree murder.
Bermudez will spend 5 to 12 years in prison.
Investigators say Bermudez shot his Brother Alfredo Cabrera during a fight at their Bedford Street home June 16th.
They say Bermudez was dealing with mental health issues
Now the District Attorney Greg Neugebauer is releasing this statement saying
“Each case is unique. The evidence and facts in this case support a plea of third degree murder. The Commonwealth hopes that this gives the family some closure, and they are in our thoughts and prayers.”
