We’re learning more about the tragic drowning of a toddler that happened last night in Cambria County.
Officials say the 3 year old was outside playing when he fell into the family’s swimming pool.
The incident happened last night on Link Road in East Carroll Township.
Coroner Jeff Lees says responders were called around 7:15 PM to the home for a drowning.
He says 3 year old Ryan Miller was found by family floating in about four feet of water.
They called 911 and started CPR.
Ryan was then taken to Miners Hospital where he died in the emergency department around 8:30.
Lees says the family installed the swimming pool just three weeks prior and there was a gate to enter the pool, but that gate was left open.
He says an autopsy showed the boy died from the drowning and his death is being ruled accidental.
