The Department of Health will be opening a drive-thru, coronavirus testing site at the Blair County Convention Center to help contain the local spread of the virus.
“Since the beginning of September, we have seen an increase of 1,825 cases in Blair County, which gives us significant cause for concern,” Dr. Levine said. “This testing site will be open to anyone who feels they need a test. It is important that even people with no symptoms who test positive isolate to stop the spread of COVID-19.”
The testing site is scheduled to open on Sunday, Nov. 15, and will be open daily, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Nov. 24.
Health officials say the site can test up to 440 people per day and that no appointment is necessary.
Patients must bring a valid photo ID or insurance card, and registration will be completed on-site.
