Blair County 2nd Amendment Meeting

Dozens showed up to hear about Blair county’s second Amendment sanctuary referendum.

That referendum was approved by voters in November and would prevent taxpayer money from being used to obstruct gun rights.

Today, the public got its first look at the draft of the agreement between the county and its 24 municipalities.

Moving forward, they’re going to seek public input from across all of the municipalities before the final agreement is approved by resolution.

“We’re at the time now that public comment of public viewpoints on this are very important to us. Obviously, each of the municipalities and the national governments and their governing
board meetings also has a public comment period, and we would encourage people to attend and participate in those and voice their comments.”

County officials say they’re in the process of creating a public comment email address so that folks can directly comment their feedback.
