Big Week for the Pens

This could be a really good week for the Penguins. The East Standings are extremely close, but the Pens could move up this week. For starters, Tristan Jarry is back. After a mysterious exit in the First Period of March 29th’s game, Tristian Jarry said he’s feeling better. He left early against the Islanders as a precautionary measure, but he’s been back at practice at a full capacity since Friday. He did not dress for Saturday’s game, but after some more time on the ice and recovery, that could change for Tuesday’s game. See video for comments from Jarry…

The Pens could really use Jarry because this is the week to move ahead in the East. The Penguins are playing two bottom Teams. They start at the Rangers who they’ve beaten 6 times already with only 1 loss and the Rangers are in 6th in the East. Then, they go to the Devils who are 7th. Now they’ve only played each other three times, and the Pens only won one of those, so that could be tough.

While Pittsburgh has a fairly easy schedule, the Islanders and Capitals will play Tuesday night. Only two points separate the Caps and Isles in the Division, so unless it goes to Overtime only one Team is picking up points. The Pens need to Win on Tuesday for sure against the Rangers. We only have about 2 months left in the Regular Season, so things are getting interesting in the Standings for Playoff implications.
