Police have charged a Bellefonte man with felony strangulation and simple assault after he was accused of strangling his own Grandmother.
Police say when they arrived to the home along Governors Park Road Yesterday the 76 year old told police that her grandson, 31 year old Michael Babin Jr, pushed her onto the couch
and placed his hands around her neck.
Investigators say the victim attempted to fight back at which time Babin stopped choking her and left.
Babin is being held in the Centre County prison on 20 thousand dollars bail.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 18th.
