The Barbara Moscato Brown Library in Cameron County is hosting a unique fundraiser, to benefit the library and it’s programs. The library has thousands of paper cards that were used in their card catalogs, when the switched over to digital card catalogs, the cards were no longer needed or even practical to use.
Instead of recycling the cards, the library came up with an idea where people can make art projects using the paper cards.
“We had patrons asking if we were going to be selling them because they look so beautiful. So we thought why not benefit the community and ourselves and do a little fundraiser with these!”
All funds collected will go towards the library. The auction is going on until the end of February. People can stop in to the library and put down their bids or send in bids and any money to the library through the mail.
