State police in Huntingdon County say a woman is behind bars after allegedly setting fire to a two-story apartment building with her neighbor and a child still inside.
Troopers say it happened Saturday afternoon, when 67-year-old Carol Burke and her neighbor go into an argument.
According to a criminal complaint, Burke went to her upstairs apartment and intentionally set fire to her apartment.
Troopers say witnesses at the scene overheard Burke saying she set the fire because she was angry at her neighbor and wanted them to leave.
Burke was questioned by troopers hours later, where she admitted to using a lighter and paper to catch a mattress on fire, according to the complaint.
She also admitted to knowing that the woman and her child were at home when she lit the fire, the complaint says.
Court document show Burke faces charges of arson, reckless endangerment and causing catastrophe.
