Greater Johnstown school board has given a contract extension to Superintendent Dr. Amy Arcurio.
It comes after the teacher’s union representative says the union made a vote of no confidence back in April as they called for more discipline and the enforcement of the code of conduct to combat a rise in weapons, threats, assaults, and behavior problems.
The contract, set to expire next July, will keep her in her position through 2026 and allow for a raise.
Arcurio has been on the job since 2018.
