This was a special Saturday for the local circuit one Ferndale grad made his pitching debut at home for the Curve let’s head out to Altoona for game on of the double header

There he is Trey McGough warming up before his first start at PNG, a group from Ferndale made the trip and McGough even got to sign a few autographs

First batter of the game with a full count McGough picks up his first k in Altoona and the crowd is loving it

Top of the second the Rubber Ducks lead 3-0 ball popped up right at McGough he makes the catch to get the out

Then ends the top of the third like this with another strikout the Ferndale Alum had 4 strikouts through 5 innings

Bottom of the 3rd with two runners on Cal Mitchell grounds out Mason Martin scores

And next batter Jonah Davis to left field Brendt Citta scores the Curve cut the deficit in half and just like the skyline roller coaster says go Curve

Our local kid had a great debut trhough 5 innings he he allowed 4 runs all earned on 4 hits and he had 4 strikeouts.

The Curve did drop the game by one run for a finale score of 3-4

In game two the Curve get the 3-2 victory splitting the double header with Akron, Tomorrow they’ll finish up the 6 game series with one game left in Altoona
