We are less than 30 days out from the start of college football and hopefully we are back to normal last year was a season like no other the pandemic took it’s toll on teams across the nation
and the Nittany Lions were one of those teams.
They started on a five game losing streak something that head coach James Franklin never experienced before at Penn State
But now it’s time for a new season, Franklin spoke to the media Today and addressed how important it is to start with more urgency especially when you face tough teams upfront Wisconsin week oneand Auburn week three
Franklin has been the head coach at Penn State since 2014 in that time four different offensive coordinators have come through Penn state. Mike Yurcich is the fourth and newest offensive
coordinator for the Nittany Lions
Franklin compared his style to Moorehead’s scheme who lead the offense from 2015 to 2017 in that time Moorehead a Pittsburgh native helped increase Penn State’s average yards per game by over 100 yards the team went 11-3 his last
Year leading and lost a tough one in the Rose Bowl against USC, so high expectations for Yurcich but he’s approaching the season with this mind set
