We are learning more about the investigation into Thursday’s Deadly Incident on the set of Alec Baldwin’s new movie. CNN Affiliate KOAT obtained a Search Warrant issued by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office from the New Mexico set of movie “Rust.”
According to the Affidavit, the incident occurred when an Assistant Director handed Baldwin one of three prop guns. The Assistant Director they yelled “Cold Gun.” That means the gun was not supposed to have any live rounds. According to the Affidavit, the Assistant Director did not know the gun had live rounds.
The gun fired by Baldwin hit Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in the chest. She was taken to the Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Director Joel Souza, who was behind Hutchins, was hit in the shoulder. He was also taken to the Hospital. There was no word on his condition at the time of recording.
