Gov. Tom Wolf is calling on the PA General Assembly to take action to help support county election officials as the November presidential election approaches.
Wolf is expected to address the matter Tuesday morning during a press conference in York.
According to a release, Wolf proposes legislation that would provide improvements to the mail-in ballot process and allow county election offices to process ballots more efficiently.
Wolf says these proposals will help Pennsylvanians vote safely and give county election officials the tools they need to count ballots and return elections results quickly.
