Saturday Night the North Star Gym will be the place to be

Former Courgar standout Drew Shubik who went on to play four years at division one Sacred Heart is putting on a charity/alumni/celebrity basketball game to benefit the North Star Basketball Boosters and his non profit Break The Mold Inc.

Which uses basketball as a platform to talk faith and bridge the gap for prison inmates looking for a second chance in life.

Shubik and his team routinely travel to various correctional facilities to play organized games against inmates.

Shubiks team will take on a team composed of North Star faculty and staff all time leading scorer and current UPJ Mens basketball player Andy Zuchelli, Head Womens basketball Coach at UPJ Mike Drahos and our own Ryan Stanko.

Shubiks team is headlined by himself and three of the Viscovi Brothers Ian, Ben, and Isaac who played at Cambria Heights and UPJ

There will be various contests, raffles, and prizes concessions and even a $1500 dollar grill raffled off

Tickets are $5 dollars for adults and $3 dollars for students and the action begins at 6 pm Saturday with doors opening at 5 pm with a live dj playing the entire night
