Historic Preservation Awards

Title:Historic Preservation Awards
Description:Plan to join us in recognizing the 2018 Preservation Award recipients. Each year since 1988, the Centre County Historical Society (CCHS) has recognized various individuals and organizations for their outstanding work in preserving and interpreting Centre County history. Categories for nominations include preservation and restoration, history and heritage, education and advocacy, and support and volunteerism. These varying sites include agricultural, archaeological, commercial, natural, residential, mixed use, and adaptive re-use. The 2018 Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation will be announced in September. The awards presentation will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Centre County / Penn State Visitor Center, located at 800 E. Park Avenue in State College. This program is free and the public is encouraged to attend. The ceremony will be followed by light refreshments.
