Woofstock
Dates:Saturday, July 13, 2019 - Sunday, July 14, 2019
Title:Woofstock
Description:Local disc (Frisbee) dog competition July 13th and 4th. Hello, My name is David Gosch and I’m hosting a disc dog competition at the Sandy Township Park here in DuBois next weekend the 13th and 14th of July. A k9 competition where a team made up of a dog and their handler compete in several different toss and fetch games including freestyle. Freestyle is a routine with music made up of dog tricks and different disc tricks throws. This will be the 9th annual Woofstock competition. I started the event in Maryland and after moving back to the area I brought the event with me. This will be the second year here in DuBois. It’s not one of our larger events but I hope to grow it into a big event here in DuBois with other K9 sports and games for dogs. The event is run by a non-profit club Mid Atlantic Disc Dogs (MAD Dogs) (http://www.mad-dogs.us/). We will also be raising money for Aussie Rescue & Placement Helpline – ARPH.
