Description:Please join the Downtown Cumberland area businesses on Tuesday May 22nd from 6:00 – 6:45 PM as we welcome Del McCoury & The McCoury Family for the dedication ceremony of The McCoury Family Stage on the corner of Baltimore & Liberty Streets in Downtown Cumberland, Maryland. Help us say thank you for the eleven years of commitment to Cumberland and Allegany County through Delfest and for their generous support this year of Burgmeier’s Hauling’s Discover Downtown Cumberland providing year-round LIVE local and regional music to the residents and tourist of the area. Please begin to gather in the area of the stage any time after 6 PM as we await the arrival of Del & his family traveling from the Allegany County Fairground. Once they arrive and are greeted by the crowd, a dedication ceremony by the DDC and special presentation by local artist Sam Wakefield will take place. Don’t forget to don your favorite Delfest gear and memorabilia so that we can thank Del & The McCoury Family with a BIG Downtown Cumberland, DEL YEAH!!!! Title:World War II: Living History Bivouac
Description:Pennsylvania Military Museum - May 26 & 27 – “WORLD WAR II REVISITED Living History Bivouac” – Axis and Allied living historians encamp on the grounds portraying field life in the European Theater of Operations, 1944-45. A short history of the war begins at 12:45 p.m. immediately followed by a tactical demonstration against German opposition. Bivouac open to the public 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Musical entertainment at 2:30 on both days. Donation requested.
